For a few days between the end of April and the first-of-May holiday, the old centre of Alba fills with tasting stands: Barolo, Barbaresco, Roero, Alta Langa, Moscato, Dolcetto and Barbera, with the growers themselves pouring. You buy a glass and a booklet of tasting tokens and walk from one square to the next, through palace courtyards and the lanes behind the cathedral.
In 2026 Vinum reached its 48th edition, on 25 and 26 April and from 1 to 3 May. The dates of the following edition are announced in spring, usually at Vinitaly: as soon as they are out you will find them here and on the event's official site.
The problem is getting home
Vinum is a fair where you taste all afternoon, which makes it the day of the year when having your own car with you is least useful. Alba's centre is closed to traffic, the car parks around it fill early, and the Langhe villages have no evening service linking them.
We drop you at the entrance and come back for you where and when you say, late evening included. If you are staying in the Langhe it is a short hop; if you are coming from Turin or Milan it works out and back in a day.

What is the "Mangio fuori" service?
It is our long-standing service and it comes from a real problem: in the Langhe you eat well and drink better, and then you have to get home. We take you to the restaurant, wait for you and bring you back, with no eye on the clock and no worrying about the breath test. You pay for the distance, not for the waiting.
Is it worth booking the return at the same time?
Yes: booking the outbound and return in the same request applies a 5% discount on the total, already calculated in the price you see before confirming. On top of that the driver already knows when to collect you and the time stays locked in.
Can you reach the Langhe by train?
To Alba, yes: from Turin there are direct trains in about an hour and twenty minutes, from Milan you change at Asti and it takes two and a half to three and a half hours. The problem starts afterwards: Barolo, La Morra and Monforte have no station, and buses between the villages are rare and do not run on Sundays. Anyone staying up in the hills, or travelling with suitcases, normally arrives by private transfer from the airport or the station.
Do you collect us at the hotel or is there a fixed meeting point?
We collect you where you are staying, anywhere in the Langhe: Alba, Barolo, La Morra, Monforte, Barbaresco, Neive, Serralunga and the villages around them. If you are coming for the day from Turin or Milan we start at the airport, the station or your city hotel and bring you back there in the evening.
Can I stop along the way?
Yes, short stops along the route are possible: note it when booking or tell the driver directly. For longer stops a small additional cost may apply, always agreed in advance.
